Now, her masks have become part of the UK's pandemic history as they've been taken by museums including the Science Museum in London and Birmingham Museum.
An innovative Beard and Turban Face Mask is also included - the pioneering design was created by Birmingham designer, Sunnie Delilah, as a protective face-covering for her Sikh father-in-law who had struggled to find appropriate protection during the coronavirus pandemic.

Join us on this conversation as we discuss the inspiration behind the launch of Delilah's Dressing Room, how Sunnie balances running a full time business whilst being a mother to an adorable 3 year old whilst also talking about what advice she would have for her younger self. We also speak in depth about her recent accomplishments such as being listed as a woman of positive influence and creativity for representing how different groups and society has adapted during the pandemic and most importantly, the launch of her own turban and long beard masks - which were a massive success globally. Sunnie's creation of facemasks aimed at a minority have been recognised widely by being exhibited in museums - making history and creating a legacy. It was an absolute pleasure having Sunnie on the pod, her ability to be super authentic whilst remaining humble about her achievements was amazing to see. Genuinely enjoyed speaking to her and felt like we could speak forever - extremely proud of her for all of these achievements and wishing her all the best for future endeavours.
“It brought to light how many other people were struggling,” she says. “For example, Muslims who wear a hijab and anyone with a beard longer than chin length. So I carried on adapting the design to help different people.”

How important is community level participation and sensitisation for you? Very, if you have the capability to help then put it to use. I would be very disappointed in myself if I couldn't be there for the community, raise awareness and help.protect the elder generation.
So one woman has come up with a face covering that covers all the facial hair and also accommodates people who wear turbans.
Research also shows thatmen are less willing tham women to gear up.But for some, the equipment might not be so protective.This is true for Sikh or Muslim men who sport long beards for religious reasons (or even hipsters) as the mask does not cover it all and droplets can get caught there
From 24 July, face masks are to become compulsory in shops in England where masks on public transport have been required since mid-June.
The mask is also made to make the wearer feel comfortable and confident with its design. ‘So far I have orders from all around the world and it’s rapidly becoming more and more in demand
